I love bread. Like I reeeeeaaaallllly love bread. We have had lots of French bread around my house because of a new love we have for French bread pizza (recipe available on blog). I had half, of a half loaf and had to do something with it. I was just going to do a garlic bread and then Remembered all the bags of mozzarella cheese I bought for things I ended up not making. So, cheese bread it is! Cheesy bread goes well with anything, so why not!!
Recipe
1/4 French loaf (can double recipe to make more.)
1 stick butter, melted
1/2 cup finely shredded mozzarella
1 tsp minced garlic
1 Tbs garlic powder
1 tsp parsley flakes
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp black pepper (I crack more on top when it is finished)
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
aluminum foil
Making it!!
preheat oven to 325 melt butter in medium sized microwave safe bowl. set aside and let cool for about 10 minutes. After butter has had a chance to cool a bit add seasonings and cheese to the butter and mix. Using a tablespoon, spoon mixture over bread. Coat the entire piece.
lay in the middle of a piece of foil. bring Excess foil up and crimp together above the bread but make sure it is not touching the top of the bread. Like a little tent. Place on top rack and bake at 325 for 25 minutes. Bump heat to 425 and bake an additional 10 minutes with the foil open and cheesy top part of the loaf exposed.
remove from oven and slice. More black pepper cracked on top of desired. Enjoy.
