This is for my mother in law, Dawn.

NEED

  • 6 cups water, to start

  • 5 tea bags

  • 1 3/4 cup sugar

DIRECTIONS

  • In a 2 quart pan put water and tea bags.

  • being to a boil and then immediately remove from heat.

  • leave it alone! No less than 30 minutes. this is how the flavor develops. You can let it sit longer if you like stronger tea. Sometimes I totally forget for hours.

  • put your sugar into a gallon pitcher. Remove tea bags and pour steeped tea over the sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved.

  • fill pitcher to the top with water and stir.

  • pour over ice and enjoy.

Let tea come to room temperature Before putting in the refrigerator. Do not leave out over night, it will sour.
